The certification fees (certification charges) constitution is as follows:
Expense related to initial conformity assessment
- Application fee
- Expense related to confirming the application contents, and application-processing clerical work (applicable only at the time of new application (per assigned certification number)
- Factory audit fee
- Expense related to audit by document and on-site audit for the quality control system of factory or business establishment.
Cost related to preparing audit report. - Product testing fee.
- 17025 Confirmation fee (expense to confirm that the JIS product testing facility and personnel, etc. of Applicant meet all relevant JIS Q 17025 requirements).
Expense related to sampling of sample concerned and to product test (including fee for witness testing at product test). - Certification fee
- Expenses for work related to researching the Applicant’s organization, conclusion of Certification Agreement, coordinating JIS certification audits (factory audit/product testing), evaluation and decision of certification, preparation of certification records, issuing fee for certificates, and tasks concerning registration in the web site of JICQA and public announcement of certification.
- Certification Maintenance fee
- Expenses for work related to providing information to the Licensee, response to standard revisions, processing certificate content alterations and maintenance control, research work, for certified products and certification audits, and handling for complains.
- Transportation and accommodation fees
- Traveling fee
- Applicable to a trip over two hours one way, with an eight-hour one way maximum (an eight-hour charge one way for any trip over eight hours one way).
Fee for certification maintenance surveillance
- Periodic certification maintenance surveillance fee
- Fee for periodic certification maintenance surveillance consisting of certification maintenance factory audit and certification maintenance product test.
- Temporary certification maintenance surveillance fee
- Fee when temporary certification maintenance surveillance must be conducted.
