JIS certification is applied individually for each division of certification; this fee schedule indicates per-division fees.

Note 1) Fees are requested to be paid at the time of initial application acceptance.

On-site audit ¥140,000 (per person-day) or ¥20,000 (per person-hour)

Document review, etc.: Same as above
Note 2) The factory audit fee is a basic fee that is incurred for document review and on-site audit concerning factory quality control audit. The total audit fee will be calculated based on the person-hours necessary for the relevant document review and on-site audit.
Note 3) For ISO9001-registered factory and JIS-certified factory, relevant portions in the on-site audit will be omitted based on the registered audit results, etc.

Note 4) JICQA auditor will perform sampling, and collaborate with factory audit and 17025-Confirmation to save labor whenever possible. The Applicant shall bear the costs related to testing sample and transport of testing sample.

Accommodation : The higher amount of either ¥8,000 (per person, per night), or the expense previously estimated
Note 5) This will not be charged if accommodations are paid for directly by the Applicant.

Note 6) Only applicable to a trip over two hours one way, with a eight-hour one way maximum (an eight-hour charge one way for any trip over eight hours one way).

If the Applicant already has acquired registration/certification of  ISO9001 or ISO14001, or another JIS certification, from JICQA, the certification fee is ¥75,000.
Note 7) The total fee includes work related to researching the Applicant’s organization, conclusion of Certificate Agreement, certification evaluation, and certification records, as well as issuance of one original Certificate (in either Japanese or English).

Issuance of an original Certificate in a language different from the issued one by the Note 7) above: ¥30,000 (per certificate)
(Each certificate will be charged separately except in Japanese and English.)

(3)

Issuance of duplicates of Certificate in the same language as Note 7)  or Item 1.5 (2) above (Issuance of duplicate Certificate):
¥10,000 (per copy)

¥50,000 (per year)
Note 8) Certification maintenance fee is for a year.

The following indicates a fee schedule for additions, alterations, or reductions of type or grade specified in a division of certification under the JIS Standards.

Audit by document only
In cases where JICQA can confirm that the manufacturing/processing process and quality control system are the same or equivalent with Applicant’s already certified product, only an audit by document will be conducted.
Estimated labor will be 0.5 to 1.0 persons per day.

When product testing is conducted: Same as the previous Item 1.3

¥30,000 (issuance fee for one original Certificate in either Japanese or English concerning Item 3.2.)

Issuance of an original Certificate in a language different from the one issued under Item (1) above:

Please remit your application fee payment using the relevant invoice sent by JICQA.
Once your application is accepted, the application fee will not be refunded even if you withdraw your application.

After a certification has been granted, JICQA confirms the numbers of auditors and days needed to conduct the factory audit and product testing. An invoice will be sent to the Licensee for the certification fee and certification maintenance fee with the transportation, accommodation, and traveling fees.

(2)

If an application is withdrawn, the Applicant will be charged the certification costs borne by JICQA that have been incurred up to the point of cancellation.

(3)

The certification maintenance fees for the next three-year period will be collected together at the time of initial certification decision.

(1)

After certification maintenance surveillance has been completed, JICQA confirms the numbers of auditors and days needed to conduct the factory audit and product testing. An invoice will be sent to the Licensee for the certification maintenance fee with the transportation, accommodation, and traveling fees.

(2)

The certification maintenance fees for the next three-year period will be collected together at the time of periodic certification maintenance surveillance.

After a certification is acquired for making additions, alterations, or reductions within a division of certification, JICQA confirms the numbers of auditors and days needed to conduct the factory audit and product testing. An invoice will be sent to the Licensee for the certification maintenance fee with the transportation, accommodation, and traveling fees.
1.5 Lot certification

At the time of certification decision: Same as Item 1.2 above

Please remit your fee payment to JICQA’s bank account by the end of the following month from the receipt of your invoice. Any fee incurred for bank transfer will be borne by the Applicant.
