PRI-JICQA

PRI-JICQA Corporation(PJC) is a company related to IATF 16949 certification jointly owned by the Performance Review Institute(PRI) in the United States and JIC Quality Assurance Ltd.(JICQA) in japan.

Since 2004, JICQA has supported the Steel Related Industries Quality System Registrar (SRI) by providing ISO/TS 16949 (transitioned to IATF 16949 in 2017) auditing services in Japan. To further strengthen this cooperative framework and expand business opportunities, SRI and JICQA established a joint venture in 2009 called SRI-JICQA Corporation (SJC). Through the partnership, the two organizations countinued to deliver IATF 16949 auditing and certification services in Japan.

Over time, SJC grew significantly, reaching more than 60 certified organizations and over 120 certified sites across Japan. Initially, the program relied on auditors dispatched from the United States. However, the number of qualified Japanese auditors steadily increased, enabling audits to be carried out entirely by domestic professionals in Japanese.

After PRI acquired SRI in 2023, the joint venture was renamed PRI-JICQA Corporation (PJC) in 2025. Today, PRI and JICQA continue to provide trusted, high-quality certification services that support the Japanese automotive industry.
